FAQ

WHEN ARE PRACTICES AND GAMES?

Practices will begin in October. While one of our biggest challenges is securing gym space and times, our goal is to have practices at least twice per week during the primary season (may be less over the holidays). Since we don’t own a practice facility and have to reserve space at other facilities, we are not in full control of saying when we can practice. We are doing everything possible to assure a consistent practice schedule.

DO YOU GUARANTEE PLAYING TIME?

No, DCB and Red Rush do not guarantee ‘playing time’. Playing time is earned in practice. Our program is a very competitive program where players are prepared to play at the next level. There are league rules that have a minimum participation at the novice, mini and bantam levels

HOW WILL DR22 IMPROVE MY SKILLS AND MAKE ME A BETTER PLAYER?

DR22 has a strict ‘developmental’ approach to our Red Rush and DCB program: Individual development is the emphasis. Team success is a result of individual success. You will receive an intensive preseason program where the focus is on the fundamental skills of basketball. You will receive the very best and most qualified instruction at the high school level. Our coaches have demonstrated success at the high school, CIS, and NCAA level.

WHEN DOES THE SEASON START AND HOW LONG DOES THE SEASON LAST?

The season begins in October and goes through the end of March. Players also have the opportunity to tryout for our Spring SummerRed Rush program that runs from April to August.

WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF COMMITMENT REQUIRED FOR DCB AND RED RUSH PROGRAM?

We understand that young athletes have a lot of choices for sports. And we believe that playing various sports can lead to a more well-rounded athlete. The DCB and Red Rush are select programs, and it is important that we have a high-level of commitment from both the parents and players to make sure their young athletes are present. If you choose to participate in the club, please understand that we expect DCB and Red Rush to be your first choice for sports activity during the winter and summer basketball season (October - March and April - August). We do not frown upon playing other sports or leagues, however we ask that your child chooses DCB or Red Rush over other sports when there is a conflict.

WHAT IF MY CHILD PLAYS FOR HIS/HER SCHOOL TEAM?

If your child plays basketball for a school team during the season, it is acceptable for his/her school team to take precedence when necessary.  We just ask you communicate your schedule as soon as possible with your coaches.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Our goal to have player’s fees be as valuable as possible. Our fees cover practice facility costs, entry fees for leagues, administration fees, referee fees, gear and tournaments and participation in the Summer League.

Please consult your registration form for the fees per category

Any extra needed apparel/ swag is additional and can be purchased through us (uniform, shooting shirt, backpack, socks, practice jersey, ball, etc.)
